Start with what it's like to drive, because that's what surprises people. There's no engine noise, no gear changes and instant response from a standstill — the RWD reaches 100km/h in 5.9 seconds, the Long Range AWD in the mid-fours. Around Perth it's effortless. Lift off the accelerator and it slows itself, so in traffic you barely touch the brake pedal. There's also a Tesla Supercharger at Margaret River running up to 250kW. Perth to Margaret River is comfortably within range on a full charge, and the return leg has multiple charging options. Further afield, the network runs north to Kununurra and east to the South Australian border, with sites roughly 200km apart. It works, but it requires planning rather than improvisation — check your route before you commit to a remote trip, and talk to us first. Two practical notes. Air conditioning in a Perth summer reduces range noticeably, so plan on less than the headline figure in February. And if you're towing, expect range to drop substantially. Ground clearance is modest and the car runs low-profile tyres. Sealed roads only, as with the rest of the fleet. Best for: city and metro driving, Perth to Margaret River and the South West, anyone curious about EVs before buying one, long hires where fuel savings add up, business travel with low running costs.
