Moving a group around Perth in two cars is a hassle. The Odyssey fits seven people in one vehicle, with three rows and room for adults in the second row, not just kids. It has a 2.4-litre petrol engine making 129kW, paired with a CVT automatic, so it’s smooth and easy to drive despite its size. Honda claims fuel use of about 7.6L/100km, which is good for a vehicle this big. It runs on regular unleaded. With all seven seats in use, the boot is shallow, so it suits a few carry-on size bags or one or two suitcases. If you’re carrying fewer passengers, the third row folds away and you get a very large load space. It suits families, airport pickups for groups, wine region and Margaret River trips, and visitors with kids. If you’re travelling as a couple or small group, a hatch or small SUV from our fleet will cost less.
